Had really bad meals. My son ordered T-bone steak that was almost all gristle and fat. It was barely warm. I had the tour of Italy which consisted of lasagna, fettuccine and a small piece of chicken parmesan. It was horrible. The small square of lasagna was all dried up and had a dark brown coating. It looked like it had been warmed up in a frying pan.

I have been here for dinner a few times and thought it would be good place to bring the kids for lunch. Our small cheese pizza took 45-minutes to arrive at the table. Apparently the first pizza got burned and our server didn't bother to tell us until we kept asking where it was since our other meals had already arrived. The kids complained that the pizza was too spicy and wouldn't eat it. We ordered 3 ice cream cones from our server and waited 15-minutes until we went up to the counter and got it ourselves (half melted). Another 15-minutes passed and we finally got our bill. We were charged for something that we didn't order. When we pointed out the mistake to the woman at the counter, she acted like it was ok since we didn't get charged for the pizza

My wife, son, and I went there for supper last night. Last time everything was very good, so we anticipated the same. Wrong! Salads were just OK. He got lasagna, OK, but burned around the edges. She got shrimp with chicken, said she loved it, but we both tried it and didn't like it. I got lobster ravioli with shrimp. Incredibly small portion. It had, hard asparagus and carrots on it. Waitress was a sweetheart.

Hi All!! Just wanted to add a comment about one of my favorite places to eat. Bellini’s is a wonderful Italian Restaurant that sits in downtown right along route 16. That food is fabulous and the Caffe Britalia superb. (Homemade Gelato Bar!!). My favorite on the menu is the antipasto for two to start things off on a good note. The atmosphere make you feel like you are eating in Italy, the music is great, and the service terrific. Makes me want to pack an overnight and go to dinner right now! Everything I have tried so far has been delectable. A must stop for all you leaf peepers!

After having enjoyed a previous lunch at Saunder's we were disappointed this visit. To begin with, we had to wait an inordinate amount of time to be seated. The hostess kept coming by saying some one will be with you in a minute. The staff appeared to be confused and this was at noontime. Once seated, the table was not clean and the menu selection was poor. We ended up leaving afraid that the food would be a reflection of the staff’s performance. I just couldn't believe how things could change in just one summer.

This is a small Italian restaurant with the best waitstaff. The owner is the host and very warmly welcomes you. The menu is very extensive, the food is absolutely wonderful and reasonably priced and the portions are large enough so that we have always had food left over for lunch the next day. We've eaten there many times and never had a complaint.

My husband and I went to Orzo for our first time. We were pleasantly greeted by the hostess to a cozy restaurant. Our cocktail order was taking quickly and served with delicious bread and bread sticks with light seasoning. I ordered the 'Pasta Special' which consisted of fettuccine with a light cream sauce with fresh skinny asparagus that had a delightful crunch. Absolutely flavorful and a generous portion. My husband had Shrimp Fra Diavlo which was spiced to appeal, fresh shrimp and a large portion also. Our waitress Brooke, was phenomena.

Wow what a place! Rarely do you find all the ingredients to an awesome place all rolled into one. From the minute we arrived and were greeted by the friendly and professional hostess, from the server to the drinks and the meal we were completely blown away. The menu although not extensive, provided more then enough offerings to satisfy all of us. We would all say that it was indeed an experience we will soon not forget! We would heartily recommend this fine restaurant.

My husband and I went to the movies last night in Danvers and drove by the Crab House. My husband loves crabs so we decided to try it. There was an older woman there with her daughter. We talked to them and found out that they had been there before for the steamed crabs. They were so good. I had a lentil stew – it was excellent. The room was very comfortable and clean, the service was way above average. We would defiantly go back again.

We have recently discovered this tiny restaurant. The food is tasty and the service excellent. Cuisine is advertised as 'Traditional Istanbul.' The Meze appetizer (sampler) is delicious, especially the stuffed grape leaves and crushed eggplant. Sigari Boregi (little feta cheese sticks) were yummy. Our favorites are the Iskender kabob (a beef entree) and the chicken skewers (both as an entree and a wrap). We are making this a weekly tradition in our family!

I was helping a friend close up her summer cottage in Marshfield this past weekend. After working hard all day she invited me out to eat. Thinking we were going to a 'swanky' place, I got all dressed up and was not only very excited, but very hungry!' So, imagine how surprised I was when we pulled up to this little wooden structure in Brandt Rock! Being polite, I kept quiet and we entered the premises. There was a bar on one side with tables and chairs and another dining room adjacent to the bar. I could only think that this was just your typical neighborhood bar and food fare! This was the best seafood I have ever eaten! I had a fried seafood platter with the most delicious, delicate tasting battered clams, shrimp, scallops and fish I've ever had! We also started with steamed clams, hot and fresh (and not a drop of sand in the broth)! Not to mention the nicest, friendliest servers to wait on us! I've learned not to judge a book by its cover, realizing just how fabulous the food is at this little hole in the wall! Do yourself a favor and take a ride down to Haddad's!

I have been to Sparkfish a couple of times mainly because my wife likes it-I think its normally OK but not great. That was until last Friday night. When we arrived there was another couple waiting at the reception stand. After a couple of minutes someone came out and said 'I will be with you on one minute.' Over five minutes went by before he finally returned. We could see plenty of empty setup tables so I don't know why it took so long. We orders cocktails and appetizer. My wife had a peach margarita and I iced tea. The margarita wasn't very good and there was no sugar on the table for the tea. I asked for some and it never arrived. The Calamari appetizer was very good but that was it. I had Seafood Alfredo and I think they lost Alfredo also.
My wife admits it was very poor performance but we should give them another chance

We called ahead as usual for call ahead seating, got there early and were told '20 to 30 minutes wait.' The front desk was in chaos. Four attendants had literally lost control of the list and there was bedlam broken out. We knew we were in for trouble when they started passing out 'bloomin onions' to those waiting. After an hour and half, yes 1 1/2 hour wait we were seated. The soup that arrived so cold the cheese wouldn't melt. After a few spoons of the soup, the steaks were hastily served! The steaks were great as usual, but we felt terribly rushed. We were presented the check before finishing, and we were basically hurried out the door about 40 minutes after finally being seated.

We've eaten at several great places over the years from here to Maine to New Hampshire and some were the great places mentioned on your website. And, Chapman Cottage is right up there with the best of them. Hand trimmed filet of beef accompanied with béarnaise sauce melts in your mouth.
