Pat Whitley has had a long and illustrious career in New England and the national media spotlight. In addition to owning and presiding over Whit’s Media since 1986, he Pat Whitleyhas also co-hosted one of Boston’s top rated morning shows, Clapprood & Whitley, on WRKO and WHDH. In addition to WRKO in Boston, his admirable radio career included his own programs on WBZ, WHDH, WMEX/WITS and was a substitute host for the Larry King Show on the Mutual Radio Network. In the 1970’s Pat was program director of WNBC in New York. During that time he was named the “National Program Director of the Year” and was individually responsible for hiring national radio personalities Dom Imus and Wolfman Jack. When his radio career began in the late 1950’s, Pat worked at a variety of stations, ranging from WCAP in Lowell, MA where he was a staff announcer, to WWDC in Washington where he directed programming. Pat Whitley’s experience in radio is exceptional, and justifies his extraordinary success as one of the most enduring radio personalities in the country.
